Gauntlet 3: part 3Ten seconds to go.
Rosanne was now safe inside the courtyard with Soro and Danielle Along with Alejandro and Peach, due to them being to Injured to move.
The crows port down smelt of death. It was cold, so cold.
Brayer could only hear the sound of her pounding heart beat.
Ahead of her was the battle field.
This was the last place she wanted to be.
The three brave knights silently looked ahead leading their army.
Brayer wished she was anywhere but here. What happened back at Foirear Castle was more than she could bear, the endless killings, the blood... though it would not of been the first time she had to fight, no, there was one other time that haunted her mind. Now she had to re live those moments over again.
Ethan, who was to her left, looked at the young medic. Her Tense energy flowing off her like a over filled cup of water. "Are YOU ready for this Ashdown, you seem to be shaken?" He asked turning his head back to face the soon to be battlefie
Gauntlet 3: part 2
Two hours to go.
Around her she could hear people talking and a few shouts here and there.
Brayers legs swung freely back and forth. Her hands gripped the bark of the Oak branch beneath her, as to not fall. The leaves of the Oak brushed against her back as the wind passed by.
"What a fine mess you got yourself into.. " Brayer was deep in thought. All this seemed like a terrible nightmare which she could not wake from. She was terrified, What if she died today?
"Hey!" the voice was earsplitting. Brayer looked to her left, all she saw was leaves, suddenly remembering she was in a tree."Hey!" came the voice again. Brayer looked down this time. it was the Frenchman staring up at her. Brayers heart jumped. "A-ah Armand! whats wrong?" She asked, a uncontrollable grin formed across her lips.
"we will be leaving soon mon ami!" Armand shouted up to her
Brayer pushed herself forward. She leaped through the air, rolling forward to take the impact onto her shoulder blades. She stood straight up.
Gauntlet 3:part 1
They had been traveling for six days now.
Each village they had been to sacrificed something to the group. Food, water, weapons and most importantly... Their service to fight for the Lady Rosanne's cause.
Even Soro's older Brother, Zido.
What started as a small band of people shortly grew into a army.
Six days down and three hours to go before they could make their mark on the Crows.
The young girl loomed out of the medic tent.
Yawning, she stretched her arms up in front of her comrades, her tired joints making a clicking sound or two.
"Ah Morning ma petite ami! We think we have just finished planing the battle" Her french comrade greeted her. She smiled tiredly at him.
Ethan, Rosanne, Soro, Danielle, Armand, Zido stood fully dressed and ready to leave, She on the other hand, was still in her undergarments, well, more like a simple fitted white linen shirt, tucked into brown linen trousers.
Her loose soft hair flowed down, finishing at the middle of her spine.
Gauntlet epilogueIt was early Dawn.
There was not much room in the wagon, but everyone had managed to find a spot to sleep.
Brayer slowly stirred, "its morning? ..i must have dosed off" she mumbled to herself, gently rubbing her eyes with her left hand. She paused as she saw a familiar face looking down on her, Brayer blushed as she realised it was Armand, though he was asleep.
She felt at ease with him, something she had not felt in a very long time. She rested her head on Armands lap for a few seconds more before stiffly lifting her Head then looking around to see who else was asleep.
They all were, especially Dan who was gently snoring whilst curled up by the side of Peach.
"I Guess i could make Breakfast" Brayer thought to herself. She gently lifted her tired skinny body up and onto the wagons floor, trying to make as little noise as possible as to not wake anyone.
Brayer lowed her body off the wagon, once her feet were firmly on the ground she stretched her arms upwards "ahh.." she smiled.
